Improved Aerodynamics The SUPER WING is mounted in the low-pressure area directly behind the rider. By placing the system here it creates virtually no drag from the system itself and actually decreases the rider’s overall drag! Wind tunnel and real world tested have proven that the addition of a SUPER WING system to the rear of your bike can save 120 to 195 seconds over the course of a full distance triathlon! 	Adjustable Mounting The SUPER WING is one of our most adjustable systems, giving you multiple positioning options to ensure ease of use. Chassis Adjustment: With three chassis mounting positions the SUPER WING is configurable to multiple saddle brands and models, making it one of our most universally compatible systems. Cage Adjustment: Four sets of lower cage mounting points allow you to fine tune your cage angle and ensure an easy bottle pull for all athletes.

Superior Strength The SUPER WING is regarded as the most durable and strongest rear hydration system on the market. How do we do it? We use ingenuous design features such as: High strength 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum for best-in-class strength to weight ratio. Engineered “dimple” cut-outs into the chassis to remove weight while increasing strength and rigidity. An aluminum cross-brace to increase torsional rigidity and resist system “wracking”. Corrosion resistant mounting hardware to combat the elements.

Rear carriers should not interfere with the air on the rider’s back, but instead fill in the turbulence ‘hole’ behind the riders posterior, thereby reducing the rider’s drag (which accounts for 64% of energy used on a racing bicycle). We positioned the carrier in the Wind Tunnel to ‘draft’ behind the rider causing no extra drag.
When a rider drafts behind another rider, the rider behind has a reduction in power required due to having less drag as they are riding in the low pressure wake of the rider in front. This can be as high as a 29% reduction. The other result is that the rider in front also goes faster as the air sees the two riders as virtually connected and the airstream jumps the gap between the riders, causing a lower drag on the front rider.
So the idea is to place the rear bottle in the draft of the rider, in other words in the low pressure area usually in the location of the back of the seat/seatpost. One is trying to basically fill in the low pressure void behind the rider. This has been validated in Tunnels all over the world for years but recently reaffirmed with Velodrome testing using the Alphamantis technology with world champions who are able to hold constant aero positions and power outputs.
