Custom Brackets for Front Hydration Systems Most aerobars available today come in an industry standard diameter of 22.2 mm. This means that most XLAB athletes can purchase any of our TORPEDO VERSA, TORPEDO KOMPACT, or HYDROBLADE TRI front hydration systems and be confident that the stock SECURECLIP^™ BRACKETS included with these systems will fit their bikes. However there are some aerobar positions that are just a tad wider than our systems can go, or they have extensions that are larger than the standard 22.2 mm. High Quality, Precision Made Made right here in our Southern California offices to our exacting quality standards, overseen by our highly trained Engineers. We select a biodegradable, extreme-impact, thermoplastic polymer when building these brackets in-house for added durability and strength.

	Oversized Extensions Available in 3 different extension sizes: 27 mm, 25.4 mm, and 24 mm. Simply measure the diameter of your aerobar where the SECURECLIP^™ BRACKETS would be installed.

MEGADJUST^™ Extended Brackets: If you have extended the XLAB Front System to as wide as it goes and the brackets don’t quite reach for a secure fit, replace them with the MEGADJUST^™ Extended brackets. These brackets offer up to 40 mm additional length, 20 mm per side. For Hydroblade Tri – fits aerobar extensions up to 200 mm. For Kompact 125/500 – fits aerobar extensions up to 190 mm. For Versa 200/500 Systems – fits aerobar extensions up to 190 mm. Measurements taken from center to center of extensions.

Choosing which is best for you:

Non-Standard Size Extensions:
Simply measure the diameter of your aerobar, where the SECURECLIP^™ BRACKETS would be installed.

To install your new SECURECLIP^™ BRACKETS set:

Unscrew stock brackets from the front hydration system using a 3mm hex wrench, keep bolts and washers to the side, you will use these later.
Remove the Velcro strap from each bracket. If difficult, we found it is easy to dislodge the section of the strap lodged in top groove of the bracket first, by pushing up.
Insert strap through the new SECURECLIP^™ BRACKETS.
Take the bolts and washers you set aside in step 1, and insert them through the bracket slot in the system’s mounting plate.
Next, insert the included M5 lock nut into the hex shaped recess on the underside of the bracket. Rounded portion of the nut should be facing down. Loosely tighten bolts using a 3 mm hex wrench.
Where desired, position your system’s mount on the aerobar extensions and secure into place with the Velcro straps.
Using a 3 mm torque wrench tighten the bracket bolts to 2 Nm.
