Postcards can be a wonderfully efficient and very effective way to share quick bits of information with large numbers of customers and prospective customers. You can put a compelling graphic image on the front of the postcard something that’s sure to grab the potential reader’s attention and then place your important message on the back of the postcard.

Not surprisingly, we’ve seen firms use postcards with noteworthy success for announcing sales, when promoting store or shop or office openings, for launching new products or services, when touting new personnel who’ve joined the firm, and even for issuing their own press releases.

If you or your staff is designing your >Postcards, we recommend that your color mode is CMYK and that your resolution is at least 300 DPI in the design you should include a .125 bleed (margin) around the border. Formats we accept for Postcards : PSD,PDF, EPS, JPG

• Coat the front side of the postcard so that the image doesn't get scuffed during mailing. You might do this with an aqueous coating. For an uncoated sheet, you might also use what's called a "slip scuff coating" to protect the postcard from abuse during mailing.
• Be sure to ask your direct-mail house (the people who will do the actual mailing) about any United States Postal Service specifications related to size, thickness, and bulk mailing requirements.
